Photos for Grandma and Grandpa Part 4

Um, the photos still need to be taken.  I'm working on it.  :-)

And yes, that is my son walking into the shot behind her.  What can I say?  He saw a cat.

I didn't quite know how to put this

After I posted the pictures of the calf, it was killed in a sudden, huge windstorm.  It was so localized in spots that it started plucking the flowers out of the flower pots, one by one, without knocking over the pots (I kid you not).  Anyway, apparently the calf tried to take shelter by the gates that my husband and neighbor had put in the field to store hay in.  You can see the gates in the calf photos.  The wind knocked over the entire set, and. . .Bye, bye, little calf.

I'm just grateful that our son chose to check on his chickens instead of the calf before his mother demanded that he come inside out of the storm.

Latest addition to the neighborhood

Here's the newest addition to the neighborhood "farm." The kids all say she reminds them of Bambi.  I agree; she's like a tiny little fawn.

Breakfast time!

"Aw, Ma!  Do I HAVE to have a bath?!"

Would you want to mess with this mama?

There's more than enough milk to go around.

A Few More Chicken Photos

Perfect the Chicken's gravesite.  We still have barbed wire surrounding the grave to keep predators away.

Elena has decided she's been held long enough.
