Cottam family photo shoot

I always appreciate it when families give me the opportunity to take their family photos. It helps me push myself out of my comfort zone, and it's so fun to see how various families interact with each other.

What a trooper!  It isn't easy to have a lady follow you around with a camera for a couple of hours, and he did great!

One parting shot as we all packed up to go home.

Thank you so much, Cottam family!

Cousins

I'm not terribly proud of the quality of these photos, but it's very rare that all of the cousins get together for a photo opportunity. Grandma and Grandpa don't care that the lighting wasn't perfect, after all.

Never too old. . .

. . .to swing with your son and grandkids.

Spring flowers in July

Summer is in full force here and my flower beds are quickly filling with weeds.  Of course, part of that may have to do with the fact that we were gone for 17 days on vacation.  I took a few photos of my spring flowers in May.  Maybe if I post those I can pretend my flower beds are nice and clean again.

Now maybe I can get motivated to finish the weeding so I can take photos of my summer flowers.

From my son, on our way home from visiting my family in Oregon:

"Mom, I saved Grandpa a lot of money when he took me out. He wanted to go to an expensive movie and I said, 'No, let's go look at Buzz Lightyears instead. Then he took me to a restaurant that cost about the same as Golden Corral, but when we went to McDonald's it only cost a little money, and I got a C3PO bobble-head toy.'"

{Sniff} My little budgeter.
